2018 Program

The Fisher Memorial Program was held on April 13, 2018 at the Spring Meeting of the ABA Business Law Section in New Orleans, LA.

The topic was “Policy by Twitter: Is the Demise of Consumer Financial Regulation Merely a Hoax?”

The program addressed issues pertaining to the decline of enforcement actions by the CFPB and the remaining regulatory infrastructure maintained by other federal agencies and the rise of state enforcement activity to fill in gaps created by the CFPB’s changes.
